Just watched him on Bill Maher, where he seemed to still have one foot in the Republican party. If you haven't heard of him, he's a conservative, old-school (meaning fiscally conservative, small-government) Republican who happens to be gay. This leads to obvious cognitive dissonance when he tries to be supportive of the current administration, and he finally seems to have cracked.
