We're averaging over 60 deaths a month in Iraq, and we're on track to lose 80+ kids in September. We're losing ground on a weekly, if not daily, basis. I'm generally from the Colin Powell "You broke it, you bought it" camp, but: with no clear path to establishing a sustainable government there, and factoring in all the additional Iraqi civillian deaths, it's hard to justify throwing more bodies on the funeral pyre we've created. I don't know if we'd do more harm than good if we just left at this point. We're f*cked if we stay, they're f*cked if we leave, and they may or may not be more f*cked if we stay, it's hard to tell.
Thanks a lot, George. This f*cker really thinks God is on his side. And about 50% of the voting population seems to agree. If he gets re-elected, I really will be embarrassed to be an American for the first time in my life.
